Job Description:

Job Summary:
This engineer will work in the Research and Development (R&D) focusing on the next generation of high voltage power supplies, Pre-amplifiers, digital controls and digital pulse processors. They will be working in a cross functional team, organizing engineering work in the projects, and motivating other team members with a positive attitude. They will be required to do some hands-on work in an electronics manufacturing environment and design for manufacturability. The successful candidate will be designing, laying out and building prototypes of the above, writing and debugging firmware, and validation testing of electronic circuits and firmware.
Essential Functions:
1. Work well in a design team environment
2. Use software to model new Power Supply and Control circuits.
3. Layout and build prototype circuits
4. Empirical testing and complete root cause analysis
5. Implement designs for High Voltage multipliers and control circuits
6. Support continuing engineering assignments as needed
7. Follow and adapt to the systematic development process
8. Write and debug firmware
9. Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
1. Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
2. Minimum of 5 years of applicable experience in high voltage design
Competencies:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.
1. Implemented designs of high voltage multiplier and controls circuits.
2. Circuit modeling and design of circuits with Spice
3. Schematic capture, layout and circuit analysis
4. A/D circuit design and trouble shooting
5. ORCAD Capture, ORCAD PCB Editor, Blueprint -PCB, MPLAB, LT SPICE or equivalent
6. Practical knowledge of electrical components
7. Programing : Visual Basic, SQL, C, C#, C embedded
8. Communications: SPI, I square C,R2C, RS232, USB Window Cert, Wi-Fi
9. Low Noise Charge Amplifier Design
10. Soldering Skill
