As a part-time or full-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you have the opportunity to work with children with autism. Working under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA), you follow behavior plans they have created that are specific to each client and utilize highly effective Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) methods. You implement these individualized programs and interventions to help develop social, language, life, functional, and pre-academic skills as well as reduce problem behaviors. You do this one-on-one in the home or community, based on the needs of the child.

Here at Kids On The Move, we know the joy of seeing a child blossom after overcoming a difficult learning challenge. As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), the most simple things excite you such as a child making unprompted eye contact, trying new foods, or saying hi to a peer. These accomplishments may seem simple, but you understand the struggle that led to their success. You make sure to keep detailed daily reports in order to document progress and provide data for the BCBA to notice trends and adjust behavioral plans when necessary.

You enjoy coming to work every day to interact and have fun with your clients. That is not to say you never face challenges. Thankfully, you are provided with resources and a highly supportive and collaborative environment where you are able to ask questions and work on finding solutions. Every day is an adventure because no two days are the same when working with children with autism.
