Materials is a growing rail manufacturing company with more than 65
years in the industry. We are seeking a results-driven Yard Manager
to lead daily operations at one of our rail yard locations. This is
a fast-paced, high-volume leadership role for a self-starter who
thrives outdoors and takes ownership of people, equipment, and
performance. The Yard Manager is responsible for overseeing yard
operations, directing personnel, managing inventory flow, and
ensuring all safety and productivity standards are met. Training
will begin at our Kansas City yard before transitioning to the
assigned location, making adaptability and leadership presence
essential. Requirements: This role requires strong heavy equipment
experience and a hands-on leadership approach. You will guide the
yard foreman and labor teams, coordinate logistics, and ensure
safe, efficient handling of rail materials while maintaining
alignment with company objectives. Key Responsibilities: Lead yard
personnel to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals Oversee
daily yard operations, logistics, and material flow Ensure safe
operation and oversight of loaders, forklifts, cranes, and related
equipment Maintain accurate inventory control and yard organization
Enforce OSHA standards and company safety policies The ideal

yard operations, along with proven heavy equipment experience and
