Job Description: As a Mammography Technologist, you will be
responsible for performing screening and diagnostic mammography
exams on patients using specialized equipment. You will work
closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare
professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging results.

.” Job Details Department Location: Intermountain Heber Valley
Hospital Scheduled Weekly Hours: PRN or as needed Shift: Hours and
shifts will vary depending on need 5% Geographical Differential Job
Essentials Ensures proper patient identification, order
verification, and prepares the patient for the exam. Performs
radiologic mammography exams per department protocol including
advanced Mammography procedures like stereotactic biopsies, clip
placements, drainages, etc. Demonstrates positioning competency.
Knowledgeable regarding breast self-examinations via answering
questions and providing written materials to patients. Operates the
mammographic equipment to ensure that diagnostic images of high
quality are produced. Appropriately uses equipment, maneuvers the
unit, and selects techniques to produce diagnostic images.
Appropriately uses radiation protection to ensure the safety of
patients and staff and meets all ALARA program requirements. Keeps
current on new procedures and equipment so skills remain at a high
level. Maintain records required by JCAHO and the Utah State Bureau
of Radiation Control. Thoroughly and accurately completes all
required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.
Minimum Qualifications ARRT registration. Current Rad Tech license
in the state of practice. Must meet and maintain mammography
specific ACR & FDA/MQSA requirements. Must meet and maintain the
ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification. Current Basic Life Support
(BLS) for healthcare providers Preferred Qualifications Experience
in Imaging or Mammography. Physical Requirements: Physical
Requirements Ongoing need for employee to see and read information,
labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment
and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers,
patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally
communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information,
alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly
during emergency situations. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers
to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and
accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for
documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication
preparation, etc. Expected to lift and utilize full range of
movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift,
and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of
varying weights, up to and including heavy items. Need to walk and
assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and
distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling
gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often
required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment,
power cords on the floor, etc.) May be expected to stand in a
stationary position for a long time. Location: Intermountain Health
