To support our growth, we're hiring a Manager, Events & Customer
Advocacy to oversee and organize events and customer marketing for
GoReact.
We are searching for an enthusiastic Manager, Events & Customer
Advocacy with a "can-do" attitude to assist our organization in
hosting in-person and virtual events that enhance our
organization's image, improve client loyalty, and enhance our
brand-to-client experience. The Manager, Events & Customer Advocacy
will be tasked with planning and managing our events' calendar,
assisting with event marketing, building customer advocacy,
networking, and delivering on objectives. Your creativity,
organizational skills, and vision will assist our organization in
amplifying brand visibility, enhancing client and employee
relations, and improving our organization's growth through events
that effectively communicate business strategy and brand
personality.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Event Planning and Management
- Manage all aspects of an event from pre-planning, determining
resource needs, pre-event marketing, and on-site coordination, to
post-event follow-up for both in-person and virtual events
- Understand requirements and details of each event
- Plan annual virtual conference
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Sales, on
overall event plan and communicate event details and logistics
- Seek out and develop relationships with new organizations based
on company goals
- Plan and organize events with attention to financial and time
constraints
- Travel to events as needed to help with set-up, networking and
event logistics
- Book venues and schedule speakers, as needed
- Meet with Sales and partner associations and coordinate with
them regularly
- Order supplies needed for events and ensure items arrive in a
timely fashion
- Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms
- Manage all event operations (booth shipment and setup, pre- and
post-event promotion, logistics)
- Plan event budget and track the overall event expenses
regularly
- Offer solutions to resolve problems in a timely manner
- Evaluate event's success and submit reports Webinars and
Virtual Events
- Work with the program manager, Sales and Customer Success to
source webinar and event presenters
- Coordinate scheduling, deliverables, and logistics with webinar
presenters
- Work with the program manager and presenters to develop webinar
descriptions and promotional materials
- Moderate webinar rehearsals and live webinars Customer Advocacy
- Lead and manage customer engagement and communication programs,
such as in-person and virtual events, annual conferences, and
champion programs.
- Create and manage customer champion communication
- Work with Customer Success, Sales, and Business Development to
identify key customers that can act as a marketing channel through
case studies, speaking opportunities, etc. Corporate Event Planning
- Work with the HR Manager on the development of GoReact's
employee events and involvements
- Provide recommendations for approach, budget, venues and
creative direction of employee events
- Coordinate venue management, caterers, and contractors for
company events
- Craft internal communications for corporate event planning
Required experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- 5 years of experience as event coordinator, manager or similar
role
- Portfolio of successful events, including virtual events
- Must be a solid writer with strong communication skills
- Proficient in Google Suite and MS Office
- Excellent vendor management skills
- Knowledge of marketing best practices
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact
on company's success
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work effectively in collaboration with others is
a must
- Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is-or
isn't-working
- Comfortable using Salesforce and HubSpot
- Proactive and willing to jump in wherever needed
