Trusted worldwide, MityLite products are found primarily in banquet, meeting, and event venues in the hospitality, education, government, and worship markets. -We've been in business for over 30 years with several locations throughout North America. We are seeking the right individual to join our team as the Director of Product Development. -The ideal candidate would possess an engineering or business degree with related management experience, and would be tasked with leading a team of 2 or more engineers providing guidance and technical oversight. -Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day activities of a team of engineering professionals.
• Provide coaching and personal development to team members in areas such as technical engineering, finance, strategy, and leadership.
• Own and improve the product development stage gate process with an emphasis on speed to market and cross functional communication.
• Understand and provide insight on Mity's product strategy across all markets. To include expertise in market outlook, competitive analysis, and product positioning.
• Manage legal, compliance, regulatory, and sustainability initiatives related to new products.
• Drive profitability, market competitiveness, and maximum revenue growth among product opportunities.
• Deliver new products to market within scope, time, and budget constraints.
• Collaborate heavily with marketing, sales, operations, and finance in identifying and prioritizing new product opportunities, evaluating feasibility and manufacturability of new products, and performing financial analysis of new and existing products.
• Prepare and present to senior leadership and large groups regarding project progress and product trainings.
• Perform market and product research including travel to trade shows, customers, suppliers, etc.Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business
• 3+ years of management experience in product development or related role
• Demonstrated expertise in project management
• Experience building, measuring, and evaluating product development related metrics
• Proven ability to analyze & interpret product and customer data
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written). Professional demeanor.
• Refined interpersonal and group leadership skills
