Civil and Structural Engineer, Lead The Opportunity : Manage the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of physical infrastructures. Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and safety regulations. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision, and mentor or supervise employees in both company and technical competencies. You Have: 12 years of experience leading the structural development of technical engineering criteria for the design and testing of complex protective designs Knowledge of applying structural engineering consideration of facility design, construction, operation, and modification that requires the application of sophisticated engineering judgement on a continual basis Ability to ensure protective designs are performed for the development of needed projects Secret clearance Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering Professional Engineer ( PE ) License Nice If You Have: Experience creating structural plans and drawings for buildings, bridges, and other structures, considering factors such as load-bearing capacity, material selection, and joint design Experience monitoring construction sites to ensure structural elements are being built according to the design specifications and addressing any potential issues Experience with site inspections, code compliance, load calculations, foundation design, structural rehabilitation, and cost estimation Knowledge of calculations to assess how a structure will resp ond to various loads such as wind, snow, seismic activity, and gravity Ability to use computer aided design ( CAD ) sof t war e, and collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to integrate structural design considerations into the overall design Top Secret clearance Doctorate degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
