Job Description:
Job Summary: In this role, you will conduct field investigations
and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates
for project’s civil/structural aspects. You will lead design,
development, modification, evaluation, and constructability reviews
of civil/structural components and processes. Your technical
expertise will ensure the unique and complex requirements of
project’s civil/structural aspects are met. In this role as Senior
Civil Engineer, you will support the civil design for the project.
This will entail originating/checking civil calculations,
specifications, material requisitions, and technical studies or
reports. Additionally, checking of design drawings and review and
coordination of vendor information and leading technical
discussions and constructability reviews. Education and Experience
Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree (or international
equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of
relevant work experience. ? Required Knowledge and Skills:
Career-level position within field ? . Considered skilled and
proficient in discipline ? . Professional with an understanding of
area of specialization, resolves a wide range of issues. Must be
able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and
background check. Prior experience in designing facilities,
roadways, site layout, and/or grading plans. Ability to
independently execute the design of facilities, roadways, site
layout, and/or grading plans. Experience with CADD applications,
such as Civil 3D, Revit, or MicroStation. Experience with Microsoft
Word and Excel. Thorough knowledge of engineering deliverables,
such as drawings, specifications, and material requisitions and
construction methods. Understands work processes of other
disciplines and departments on projects. Ability to express
technical issues in a clear and concise manner, both written and
verbally. Ability to resolve design issues with subordinates,
suppliers, other engineering disciplines, construction, and the
client. Possess active security clearance. Prior experience working
with government agencies Experience with procurement automation
tools. Intermediate knowledge of developing CSI Masterformat
specifications or SpecsIntact. Design experience with Unified
Facilities Criteria and the Whole Building Design Guide. Position
Details: Pay Rate / Range: $31.81- $68.85 The above salary range
represents the range expected for the position; however, final
salary offers are based on a number of factors such as the
position’s responsibilities; the candidate’s experience, education,
and skills; location; travel required; and current market
