Job Description:
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for, Junior and Senior
Electrical Designers , for a 12-month contract assignment
supporting the U.S. Air Force facility near Ogden, UT. This onsite
role offers a W2 hourly base rate with time and a half for
overtime, per diem, and mobilization / demobilization. Our client
is targeting $50.00 - $77.00/hour commensurate with education and
experience. U.S. Citizenship is required. Position Summary : This
role will support the ground infrastructure component of the
Sentinel Program, which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the
U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic
missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. This is an onsite
position at Hill Air Force Base, just outside Salt Lake City, Utah.
Full time presence on project is required. Responsibilities:
Develops designs for electrical engineering systems such as
earthwork, drainage, road design, foundation, and steel detailing
with minimum supervision from which detailed scale models and/or
construction drawings are completed. When working in a lead-role,
assigns tasks to best use the knowledge, experience, and
capabilities of less experienced electrical designers/drafters
assigned. Assists in constructing detailed scale models. Ensures
compliance with approved electrical design standard, applicable
installation codes, and regulations in own work and by those
assigned, to provide quality design. Reviews and checks
calculations, design models, drawings, and design documents
prepared by assigned designers/drafters for quality, accuracy,
neatness, functionality, and satisfactory completion. Participates
in constructability reviews. Coordinates the reviews for the
accuracy of bulk material quantity take-offs and material
requisitions for materials applicable to the discipline. Works with
designers in other disciplines to coordinate overall design and
technical requirements. Assists in the development of work plans,
budgets, and schedules for basic electrical designer tasks based on
input and direction from supervisor in designated discipline.
Provides on-the-job training for personnel within electrical
design. Generates 2D drawings or 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD)
design models with minimal guidance from others.
