Job Description:
JOB OVERVIEW The responsibilities of a Field Services Technician
require a broad range of abilities, including -the interpersonal
skills to communicate findings both verbally and in a written
report format. This position will report to the business owner and
work with additional team members to achieve a high level of
customer satisfaction as well as revenue goals and standards of
practice. This role will be responsible to help the owner expand
and promote these services to new audiences as well as develop
-additional services for the company to offer to their customer
base. The ideal person will be responsible for the success of these
services and this division of the company. As the demand for these
services expand, this position will involve hiring and managing
other technicians. - PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND
ACCOUNTABILIITES:
- Coordinate placement and pickup of specialized testing
equipment
- Perform all functions of on-site sewage inspection
- Obtain water, mold and other environmental samples following
established protocols
- Deliver all samples to appropriate laboratories/delivery
agencies
- Convey all findings in a professional manner using proper
grammar and punctuation
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, customers as well
as team members
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed
- Maintain a strong sense of time management to ensure all
appointments are arrived at 15 minutes prior to scheduled start
time and completed within the allotted time frame
Complete all paperwork and follow established company procedures
from -initiation through completion of all tests and/or
inspections
- Organize, manage and participate in marketing plans to promote
services to other audiences
- Oversee and manage the success of the field services division

- Responsible for all company issued equipment
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Basic knowledge of residential home systems and
components
- Previous service business experience preferred
Proven ability to achieve professional goals -
- Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials
- Ability to resolve problems, conflict, and complex
communications issues
Ability to deal with a variety of emotions and frustrations from
the home buyer. -This requires emotional maturity and stability on
the part of the technician.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong time management, multi-tasking and organizational
skills
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive
company image to the public
- Requires significant local travel to current and potential
clients. This requires the possession of a valid state driver's
license
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule (this may include
-Saturdays and evenings)
- Pass all assessments administered during the hiring
process
- Complete - successfully pass all state-required and Company
recommended training.
- Maintain required/recommended certifications throughout the
course of employment
- Personality: Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive
mental outlook and a clear focus on quality and customer service.
Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with a variety of
customers. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Empathic
communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of
view. Always presentable and businesslike. Able to get along with
others and be a team-player.
- Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills particularly
internet and email (both PC computer and iPad). -
Media Skills: Proficient with current social media and
communication platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube,
etc. -
- Literacy and Numeracy: Able to analyze air and water quality
testing results, understand information located on various
equipment and/or appliance labels. Must be a competent writer
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions may require this position to work in the extreme
heat or cold -
- May be required to work in the rain
- Required to walk on roofs, enter attics, or crawl under
homes
- Required to carry equipment up ladders, on roofs, into
basements, etc. (30-50lbs)
- Must have the ability to climb ladders and maneuver in tight
spaces
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- May be required to work weekends and evenings
- This position will require local travel (driving from location
to location) up to 100 miles
Personal vehicle will be required to fulfill the requirement of
this position
