As an independent contractor, you pick the assignments you want to do, at times that are convenient for you. Assignment opportunities are wide-ranging. You will be working on standard Cummins engine repairs and related components or assisting with Power Gen services. Here s how it all works. Participating Cummins locations will post available work to a mobile app. When that happens, you will receive a notification on your mobile device. You will be able to see: a description of the work, whether the assignment is at a Cummins location or in the field, when the assignment needs to be completed, and how much you will earn. You will have the opportunity to accept, decline, or counteroffer. When you counteroffer, you can negotiate the assignment rate, or propose a time that better fits your schedule.
