About the RoleThis Orem-based firm is looking for someone to take complete tax ownership. In this role, you will build out the tax team and provide weekly updates to executives. You will also be the main point of contact for outside agencies, and work with tax advisory firms.Salary: Competitive (DOE)Location: Orem, UTJob Type: Full-time, On-siteWhat You Will Bring to this RoleYou will be technical in knowledge but tactical in advisory and strategic initiatives.Responsibilities:

• Advising on tax laws (specifically multiple states), partnering with consolidated insurance agencies to provide guidance on tax regulations the appropriate jurisdiction, managing tax returns, tax reconciliations and projects related to tax & equity (Schedule K-1 reporting) tax law.
• Responding to tax notices to ensure any state tax methodologies have been updated appropriately and communicated to external tax partners and internal corporate finance leaders as necessary which includes reassessing any outstanding FIN 48 reserve positions.
• Leveraging various resources by researching applicable regulations, tax codes, and case laws to ensure taxes are recorded in compliance with regulations.Qualifications:
  • College, university, or equivalent degree in accounting or other related field required and Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification or applicable work experience
  • Strong experience reviewing and improving estimated tax payment calculations and processes.
  • Strong experience reviewing state and local income and agency franchise tax returns for domestic operations and leading assigned state and local audits.
  • Industry background: Healthcare or Tech / SAAS
